Josh Kerr

Josh Kerr, who rides his Rustys at either 5’8” 18 ½” 2 ¼” or 5’11” 18 1/8” 2 1/8”, is himself 5’8” (173 cms) and 154 lbs (70 kilos). Small in stature, this terrible infant is not small in anything else. Anywhere else.

He of the Kerr-upt flip. He of the Kerr-azy times. Josh Kerr was christened on a bodyboard but graduated to a surfboard at age eleven and was winning airshows by 16. Stomping tweaked reverse slobs. (He won two airshow titles. One in 2001 and the other in 2003). Yet he is no one trick pony. Josh Kerr competed on the Dream Tour stage in both 2007 and 2009.

Even defeating Taj Burrow at the Margaret River Pro in 2010 to lift the shimmering golden cup above his devious blue eyes. (Which were subsequently sprayed with champagne.) Documentation of his leaping in a single bound can be seen at kerr-azy.com. Documentation of his flying, quickly, around the world too. Josh Kerr was born on March 29, 1984 in Tweed Heads and, a sweet 16 years later, stomped Kelly Slater in an airshow on the Gold Coast. He doesn’t know his IQ.
