For the 2nd year, Rusty and Surfrider Foundation partnered on the One Foot at a Time initiative, calling to the members of Surfrider to use their creativity for a worthy cause. This event brought together volunteers from across the country to raise awareness of the dangers of plastic pollution by removing pieces of plastic trash from our environment one square foot at a time, using the collected trash to create unique mosaic sculptures.
Hundreds of submissions were received and winners were selected for each of the following categories: Best Overall Photo, Best Use of Materials, Most Creative, Most Trash Collected, and “The Wheel”. Thanks to all who participated!
Best Overall Photo: Autumn N. – Cocoa Beach, FL

Most Creative: Alli C. – Jersey Shore, NJ

Best Use of Materials: Nicollette S. – Claymont, DE

Most Trash Collected: Jessica W. – San Diego, CA

“The Wheel” (Grand Prize): Dawn M. – La Jolla, CA
