I wanted to take the big board (7'0") out at Rockpile. I got some really fun ons…for a Rockpile day. A slow start to the North Shore season results in Josh Kerr ramping out on a "off the beaten path" left.

Each year, SURFER Poll allows readers to cast their vote for their 10 favorite male and five favorite female athletes who will be honored during the exclusive awards ceremony at Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore of Oahu during the Triple Crown of Surfing. The Lowers WCT event started this past weekend with Josh Kerr taking out Damien Hobgood and Matt Wilkinson in Round 1. With a ton of swell scheduled for the week, look for Josh to continue to push surfing progression to new heights. Kerr gets Bede Durbridge in Round 3. Stay tuned!
