The Hawaii stop of OSSC/Rusty Demo went off this year in 3-4 foot Bowls. T&C took home the title this year with a dominate performance from Travis Hashimoto, Geoff Wong, Dustin Quizon and Kekoa "Bam Bam" Bacalso. Pipe Dreams took the runner up slot with Hi-Tech coming in third and defending champs HIC taking fourth. Contest goers were stoked on the boards with demos going on all day. The Slackerrr and Bali Single were the top attention grabbers of the weekend.

After the Fiji event, Josh Kerr is sitting 7th in the world and in a prime spot to make a world title push. With the Tahiti stop up next, Kerr will put his backhand barrel riding to the test in one of the world's most dangerous waves.

The Thalia Surf Bout is an event that Porter Hogan looks forward to every year. Porter gets to compete against his long time heroes like Jeff Booth and Hans Hagen. Mr.Hogan's strategy was to stick to the air and rely on his progressive surfing. The strategy worked and ended up making it to the final. For more Porter check out his blog susocollection.com/.
