The U.S. Championships brought the best of the best together to compete in Huntington beach for the prestigious title of National Champ... It is quite a feat to compete in an event of this caliber and to make it to the winner's circle means that you are, in layman's terms, a mighty fine surfer. Well apparently the Silver family has two mighty fine surfers in it because when it came time to handing out trophies both father and daughter Silver found themselves on the podium. Jessica Silver took third in the 18+ Girls Shortboard division and John Silver claimed a big first place finish in a nail-biting final of the Legends division. Plus, both Silver surfers were proudly riding Rusty Surfboards! Congratulations to the Silver Family for your impressive display of surfing, truly bridging the generation gap.
