With perfect weather and frothing conditions the 2010 NSSA Eastern Championships wrapped up in Florida's Sebastian Inlet. Rusty's groms were on an absolute tear with Corey Howell, Keto Burns, Mikey Ciaramella, Chris Tucker, and Noah Dovin all making the finals of their respective divisions! Corey Howell Dominates Ron Jons 2010 Easter Surf Fest
Florida supergrom and Rusty team rider Corey Howell participated in Ron Jons' 2010 Easter Surf Fest this past weekend and absolutely dominated the competition. Corey took first in both the Boys and the Jr Pro divisions!
"I just tried to mix it up," said Howell. "Once I get two good waves, then I can take some chances. My dad (Randy) and my coaches tell me when I get the momentum, to keep it going, so going back-to-back was good for me."
By winning both divisions, Corey accomplished a rare feat that had been done three decades ago by WCT legend Kelly Slater. Congratulations to Corey for such an epic performance!

Corey Howell Takes Second at Surfing America Prime – Sebastian Inlet
Yesterday, Rusty's Corey Howell placed 2nd in the Boys Under 16 Division at the Surfing America Prime held at Sebastian Inlet. Corey will also be competing in the Ron Jon's Sebastian Inlet Jr. Pro starting Thursday. This will be Corey's first Jr. Pro! Congratulations and good luck at the Jr. Pro!

Florida Super Grom Corey Howell Surfs with the Stars
Rusty rider Corey Howell participated in the Slater Bros Surfing with the Stars event to raise money for skin cancer awareness. Corey and his buddy ended up contributing $560 for the cause and for their awesome effort they also got to pick two pros to surf alongside with in the contest. As a Florida native Corey choose Kelly Slater and CJ Hobgood and got hang out with the two world champs during the day in addition to surfing with them in the comp!

Florida native and Rusty rider Corey Howell had a sick performance this past weekend at the 2009 ESA Championships that landed him in the number 2 spot in the boys division! Congratulations Corey!
