The Rusty team is all over Australia's Waves Magazine this month! In addition to Jay Davies splitting the cover with Slater, this issue also features the Rusty team's trip to The Menatwais where the team got some serious work done for the new Rusty surf flick, "Changes." This year has been a stand out for powerhouse surfer Jay Davies and now he's topped it all of by scoring the cover of Waves Magazine!
Jay has traveled the globe in search of epic waves while shooting for the latest Rusty DVD, "Changes." He has been with Rusty his entire professional surfing career. Global Brand Director, Mark Sutton, says, "We're stoked with Jay's surfing and how far he's come. His style, his passion, and the size of his guns produce some of the most amazing surfing we've seen in a long time."
"I'm so stoked to be joining Slater on the cover, he is the best surfer of all time, and thanks for coming to my 21st, such a legend," say Jay. The cover shot was taken while filming for the Rusty DVD, "Changes," off Kandui Resort in The Mentawais. Jay said the long, hollow right, barreling for hundreds of meters was a fun wave to surf. His opening section of "Changes" show off his pure strength and control.

Our latest release is absolutely insane! Check out this teaser and you will see the footage speaks for itself...
The East coast premiere of Rusty's new release "Changes" will coincide with the largest amateur surf event in the world. Sunburned, frothing groms will invade a basketball gym in Buxton, North Carolina on Tuesday, September 23rd, and if I were a betting man, I'd wager these guys will paddle out for a full moon shred fest after seeing our boys busting air after air. Check back after the premiere for a full photo gallery of the event.

Thursday night September 4th, the Rusty crew pulled out all the stops at the world premiere of "Changes" at Bondi Bar in San Diego's Gaslamp District. Sponsored by our good friends at Surfer Magazine (thanks Rick and Marty) as well as FM 94.9 SD (Owen and crew), Rusty's new film chronicles the destruction of waves from Indo to Hawaii, Australia and beyond by Josh Kerr, Jamie O'Brien and the Rusty demolition team. Choked full of massive airs, sick slabs and heaving barrels, this new release puts the pedal to the metal from start to finish. Rumor has it, certain hi profile groms who got their hands on Changes are burning their playback buttons. With all the international licensees in town for ASR, everyone got their first glimpse of our new movie. Marlon Gerber was in town with Kane and the Indo crew, International Man of Mystery Ces Wilson was cruising, Geoff "The Man" Backshall, Rusty, Angie and the kids were representing, South America was in the house, Japan too.....Jay Davies, Kalani Chapman and a few other athletes made the trek and had a blast.....Tons of Industry heads rolled in and supported the event which is always nice.....Look for more on "Changes" coming soon.
