The ESA Championships just kicked off in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Though the conditions weren't the best, overcast and windy with chest high waves, the surf is supposed to pick up on Wednesday when the grom divisions start up. St. Augustine, Florida's wonder grom Keto Burns finished up with a boys 1st place and open mens 6th place for the ESA Championships held in the outer banks of North Carolina. After a week of battling 50 mph plus winds in heats and amping competitors Keto was rewarded with fun head high surf and pumping barrels in his final. Now that Keto is done with this event he will be in Costa Rica for the next 2 weeks.
