Look for Rusty team rider Bud Freitas on Fuel tv’s “Daily Habit” . During Buds film session at Fuel headquarters in Santa Monica, some funny skits went down on stage so, be sure to keep a look out for Bud’s debut. We’ll let you know when we get the dates. Meanwhile, the Santa Cruz shredder is dodging Bears on land and Killer Whales in the water during a secret northern excursion. Bud will be back in time to compete in The O’Neill Coldwater Classic in Santa Cruz October 21 thru 26.

Rusty’s 80’s party this Friday Oct 24 is going to be Nutzzz! As an official Cold Water Classic party it brings it all. The best 80’s music from long-time bay area rock star DJ Rick Preston. And that’s not all; Rusty is going to have a free Ipod for the best 80’s outfit. Red Bull is also providing a mechanical bull with prizes for longest bull ride! Don’t miss this party! It’s going to be off the HOOK!

The ESA (Eastern Surfing Association)  Eastern Championships is known for good surf and fun times. Well, this years Easterns will go down in the middle of 50 mph winds, sand filled eyeballs, and V.A.S. CONDITIONS, forcing day 3 of Easterns to be moved down to ramp 55, 30 min south of the Lighthouse. Hopefully the conditions down near the Ocracoke Ferry will be something better than what we’re getting up here in Buxton. And just so you know, our house didn’t blow away last night. We’ll see though, today the winds are really supposed to fill in and reach the 55mph+ range. Hopefully my munchkin ass doesn’t blow away…

WakeBoarding, the world’s number one wake sports magazine, held the 5th Annual Wake Awards presented by RockStar Energy Drink, September 12 in Orlando, Florida during Surf Expo. Rusty’s very own Stu Shinn took home the coveted Wakeskate “move of the year”. Good on ya Stu Dogg.

Chase Brady won the the MONSTER ENERGY/SUN DIEGO PRO-AM SURF and $300 for his first place finish in the men am open division . look for Chase at stop number to 2

Stuart Shinn (Bradenton, Fla.) managed to pull-off the upset and ride away with the win. Hansen finished in second-place, followed by Brian Grubb (Nashua, N.H.) and Grant Roberts (Alamo, Calif.). Today’s win marks Shinn’s first Pro-Am title.
